The
majority of our
water based
training is undertaken on the River Aire at the Boathouse by
Hirst Weir. If you are lucky you can also go on runs from there....
The coach to the river on Wednesday
afternoons leaves the turning circle at 13:00 prompt -
don't get left behind!
Saturday
river training takes place in term time from 8.30am to 10.30am for 4th
to 6th form
and from 10.30am to 12 noon for 1st to 3rd form.
Always check the website home page before setting out after heavy rain, incase river levels are too high for rowing to be safe.
Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel to each training
session - just in case!
Other
training is organised at school, making use of the Gyms and
Swimming Pool (for capsize drill etc). See Training Diary below.

Training for
the more committed rowers is available:-
before school, in the junior gym, on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 7.30am until 8.45am
and after school, (circuit training) in the senior gym, on Mondays from 4pm to 5.30pm
In
addition, year groups are free to arrange their own gym
training
at lunchtimes. Please talk to the Rowing Staff if you need
advice about when and how much training you should be doing.
